CJNU-FM is the proud host of the 2020 National Campus and Community Radio Associations Station Managers Summit (#SMS2020) January 18-19th, 2020 in Winnipeg. The summit will take place at the Winnipeg Foundation in the original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation.
Recommended travel days are Friday, January 17th if you would like time to organize yourself and see the city before the summit. Return, the summit will end Sunday at 4:30pm.
Please fly into Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport YWG.
We have three options for accommodations:
1) Billeting with other C/C folk (We will have a few people who have space for those to join, if you have a spot, please share that information upon registration)
2) Group Air BnB (Estimated $50-75/night – depending on how many registrations we receive) – We will be booking this by December 15th, please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested
3) Seek your own accommodations
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Information
At this time, food is only provided for lunch on both days. Breakfast and dinner will be down to the individual to acquire.
As part of the support provided to Campus and Community radio stations by the Community Radio Fund of Canada, the NCRA/ANREC is happy to announce subsidized travel costs for those wishing to attend the summit. Focus will be on individuals who are historically disadvantaged, from rural locations and regionally in the prairies. We ask that you reach out to email@example.com for the application.
